This beautifully restored Series III E-Type is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada.
This example was professionally refinished in British Racing Green by Sylvain Dextrase during its comprehensive restoration. Exterior details include a black soft top, chrome bumpers with rubber overriders, louvered hood vents, bright trim accents, and a center-exit quad exhaust system. It rides on 15” wire-spoke wheels wrapped in Michelin Defender tires.
The interior features tan leather bucket seats with matching door panels and carpeting, complemented by a black leather dashboard. A wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of factory Smiths gauges, including a 160-mph speedometer and atachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. Additional features include center-mounted rocker switches, a factory analog clock, and a Kenwood head unit. All gauges and electronics arereported to be in proper working order.
Power comes from a matching-number 5.3-liter V12 engine, generating a factory-rated 272 HP and 304 lb-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 4-speed manual transmission. The drivetrain has been complemented by extensive mechanical work, including rebuilt carburetors, a new braking system with updated rotors and calipers, a new distributor, and a freshened differential.
