This 1974 Jaguar E-Type Series III roadster is finished in Turquoise with a black soft top over Tan leather and powered by a 5.3-liter V12 linked with a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. It rides on 15” knock-off wire wheels and is equipped with power steering as well as four-wheel disc brakes. The car is described as a running project that requires overhauls of the quadruple Zenith-Stromberg carburetors as well as suspension, brake, and cosmetic work. Acquired by the seller in 2026, this Series III E-Type is now offered with a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Turquoise with a black soft top and features a forward-hinged louvered hood, uncovered headlights, and US-spec bumpers. The seller notes various ding and chips around the body and reports that the driver-side door hinge is weak, the chrome windshield surround is loose, and the decklid is dented.
The 15″ wire-spoke wheels are secured with knock-off spinners and are mounted with 205/75 Goodyear Integrity tires with 2000 date codes. The Series III E-Type was factory equipped with power steering as well as four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear rotors. The seller recommends servicing the suspension and brakes.
The cabin features seats upholstered in Tan leather, which is worn and discolored. Interior amenities include an AM/FM radio, a locking glovebox, and hand-crank windows. The ignition switch is broken, the air conditioning system does not work, and the heater hoses are disconnected. The cooler knob, ash-tray insert and driver-side footwell carpets are missing.
The drilled-spoke steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. An analog clock along with auxiliary gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 29k miles, none of which were added under current ownership. The seller recommends inspecting the instruments and lights.
Rated at 241 net horsepower and 285 lb-ft of torque when new, the 5.3-liter V12 was factory equipped with quadruple Zenith-Stromberg carburetors. The seller recommends overhauling the carburetors and cooling fans as well as replacing accessory belts and hoses. The intake trumpets are missing.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The seller notes rust on various underside components as well as fluid leaks.
The Production Record Trace Certificate from the Jaguar Heritage Trust lists the original colors and drivetrain numbers for chassis UE1S24564BW as well as the build and dispatch dates.
