This 1974 Jaguar E-Type Series III roadster left the factory finished in Azure Blue over Cinnamon leather in January 1974. It was acquired by the previous owner in 1981 and taken off the road approximately 20 years ago before being acquired by the selling dealer in 2025. Described as a non-running project that requires mechanical and cosmetic work before being driven, the car retains a 5.3-liter V12 equipped with quadruple Zenith-Stromberg carburetors that is backed by a three-speed automatic transmission linked with a limited-slip differential. It rolls on 15” knock-off wire wheels coupled with disc brakes at all four corners and is further equipped with an AM/FM radio and air conditioning equipment. Now showing 15k miles, this Series III E-Type is offered by the selling dealer in North Carolina with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, prior purchase documents, and a clean Tennessee title.
Factory finished in Azure Blue, the car features a forward-hinged louvered hood, uncovered headlights, and US-spec bumpers. It wears a black soft top and top boot, the former of which requires replacement.
The 15″ wire-spoke wheels are secured with knock-off spinners. They were mounted with 205/70 Vredestein tires in late 2025, according to the selling dealer. The Series III E-Type was factory equipped with power steering as well as four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear rotors.
The seats are upholstered in Cinnamon leather. The car retains air conditioning equipment, though it is unknown if the system works. Further interior amenities include push-button AM/FM radio, a locking glovebox, and hand-crank windows. The selling dealer notes rust in the driver-side footwell as well as in the trunk floor.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. An analog clock along with auxiliary gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 15k miles.
Factory equipped with quadruple Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, the 5.3-liter V12 was rated at 241 net horsepower and 285 lb-ft of torque when new. The selling dealer notes that the engine bay was cleaned using dry ice in preparation for the sale. Results of a January 2026 inspection by V-12 Motorsports of Indian Trail in North Carolina.
The three-speed automatic transmission is linked with a limited-slip differential.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate lists factory colors and identification numbers along with a build date of November 7, 1973, and distribution via British Leyland in New York. Purchase documents from the previous owner dated October 1981 are included.
