This 1972 Jaguar E-Type Series III 2+2 is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car is finished in Pale Primrose over black leather, and features include four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, 15” wire wheels, quadruple carburetors, an AM/FM radio, and air conditioning. The seller purchased the car from the long-term previous owner in 2026, and it is now offered with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate, service records, and a clean Maryland title.
The car is finished in Pale Primrose and features uncovered headlights and a forward-hinged louvered hood. The passenger front fender was repainted under prior ownership, and various paint blemishes around the body are visible.
The 15″ knock-off wire wheels are mounted with 205/70 Fullway HP108 tires installed in preparation for the sale along with replacement innertubes. A temporarily installed Dunlop whitewall is visible in some photos and has since been swapped out. The Series III E-Type was factory equipped with power steering and four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear rotors. The brake fluid was flushed in preparation for the sale.
The 2+2 cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench seat upholstered in black leather as well as color-coordinated door panels. Interior amenities include an AM/FM radio and a locking glovebox. The air conditioning is inoperative.
The steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. An analog clock along with auxiliary gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 38k miles, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 5.3-liter V12 was factory equipped with quadruple Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and was rated at 314 horsepower and 349 lb-ft of torque when new. Service in preparation for the sale included adjusting the belts, changing the oil, and replacing the gas tank, fuel sending unit, spark plugs, A.I.R. exhaust valve, battery, center exhaust pipes, and various rubber fuel and vacuum hoses, along with the brass fitting seals on the bottom of the carburetors.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. An Ansa performance exhaust was installed in 1976.
The Jaguar Heritige Trust certificate lists the original colors and powertrain numbers.
