Advertised on carsales.com.au 9 November 2025, asking AUD$165,000. The car is in Adelaide, South Australia. Private seller’s description (edited) follows: “After a year of searching in Australia and the US I discovered a very sound, unmolested, matching numbers example in Los Angeles in late 2014 with 53,000 miles on the clock. It had previously changed hands in 1985 and I am likely the third owner. I’ve added 7,000 miles with the car proving itself to be reliable, well sorted, rust free, and original. It had a "closed door " respray (most likely in the mid 1980's) and has had a couple of touch ups since but has not been pulled apart and gutted to be restored. It retains all of its original character including the original Leyland badged AM/FM push button radio, aerial, wheel trims, etc. The black vinyl soft-top and hood cover are in very good condition as is the beige tonneau cover (that is unused). The jack and wheel brace are in the original bag. It now has 60,496 miles on the clock”.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
