Sellers description:
1964 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 Roadster
Registration no. 8157WK
Chassis no. 881403
Vintage and Prestige Fine Motor Cars are proud to offer for sale this 1964 E-Type 3.8 Litre Open two-seater Left Hand Drive.
Purchased new in Washington, USA by Mr J.A Wolfe in 1964, the car is painted in its original Carmen red colour to which the paintwork is unmarked. Black interior hide with matching carpets complete the ensemble.
The car is equipped with its original 4 speed moss gearbox and is as good if not better then when it left the factory. This E-Type 3.8 Litre is simply perfection and as such nothing more need be said as any more description is superfluous. We have 6 similar E types in stock currently.

Seller's description:
1964 Jaguar E Type 3.8 Series I
This 1964 Jaguar E type 3.8 series one roadster is finished in original Carmen Red with original black hide interior and black mohair soft top. Undoubtedly one of the very best early E types we have had the pleasure of marketing and the attention to the detail of this restoration is exemplary. It comes with Jaguar Heritage certificate which confirms that it still bares its original Coventry registration number 8517 WK. Equipped with its original 4 speed Moss gearbox, a period Motorola radio and sitting on perfect chrome wire wheels shod with original pattern Dunlop radial SP tyres. With only 3600 miles since the restoration, the car performs extremely well and is ready for immediate use. Realistically priced for one in this condition at £139,950

www.historics.co.uk/buying/auctions/2023-07-22/cars/ref-64-1964-jaguar-e-type-se ...
Windsorview Lakes July 22nd 2023
Lot Number 183
Registration 8157 WK
Chassis Number 881403
Odometer reading 3,671 miles
Estimate £115,000 - £135,000
This early Jaguar E-Type was originally sold to a US air force man when he was based in the UK. The car was manufactured in left hand drive guise although it was registered in the UK, hence the desirable WK registration plate. The owner took the car to the US with him when he returned there, as was always his original plan. The car was repatriated to the UK in 2022 and it was professionally converted to right hand drive by respected marque specialists Twyford Moors. Clearly a restoration project has been carried out as this Series I Roadster presents in beautiful condition throughout. Unfortunately, little is known as to who carried out the restoration as is often the case with cars from the US. Finished in the desirable colour combination of Carmen Red with a black leather trim, this Jaguar is supplied with a V5C registration document together with a Jaguar Heritage Certificate. This highly useable Jaguar E-Type Series I 3.8 litre Roadster offers practicality and desirability in one complete package.

Car now offered at:
www.runnymedemotorcompany.com/Cars/Details/21/1964-Jaguar-E-Type-38-Series-I
Seller's description:
1964 Jaguar E type series one 3.8 Roadster finished in its original Carmen red with a perfect black hide interior and a black mohair hood and sitting on perfect 5" chrome wire wheels. It is supplied with a Jaguar Heritage certificate which confirms that retains its original Engine, Gearbox, and Body all of which can be checked on inspection of the car. Restored about 15 years ago but has had very little use since and has therefore remained in exceptional condition. Always destined to become a collectors item and described by Enzo Ferrari as the most beautiful motor car ever produced. The twin overhead camshaft engine is 3800cc with a power output of 265bhp with 240lbs of torque and a published 0-60 time of just 6.4 seconds which were outstanding figures in 1961 and certainly more than adequate today. This 1964 Jaguar E type 3.8 series one roadster is undoubtedly one of the very best early E types currently on the market today. Still with its original Coventry registration number of 8517 WK as it was first registered by Jaguar cars on behalf of a client who resided oversseas. With only 3600 miles since the restoration, the car performs extremely well and is ready for immediate use. The conversion to right hand drive was executed by Twyford Moors who have many years of experience with classic Jaguars and the conversion has been expertly carried out. The most recent service was done by another well respected Jaguar restorer which has included balancing the tripple SU carburettors and fully checking the car ready for the next discerning owner. Compare this car with others on the market and you will see that it is not expensive at £99,500
