Ebay item 10/14/25
Classified ad price $124,000, seller Gateway Classic Cars, 7k miles stated.
Seller's description:
Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to digitally present this 1964 Jaguar E-Type (XKE) Series 1.
Few cars in automotive history command the respect and admiration of the Jaguar E-Type, and this particular example stands out for its remarkable originality and provenance. Finished in a timeless blue exterior, this E-Type represents the purest expression of Jaguar's 1960s design and engineering brilliance.
This is a two-owner vehicle, cherished and preserved through the decades rather than over-restored or heavily modified. The paint remains original, showing light patina and age-appropriate relic that speak to its authenticity and history. Rather than hiding its past, this car proudly wears it-serving as a rolling testament to six decades of careful stewardship.
Under the long, sculpted bonnet lies the legendary 3.8-liter inline six-cylinder engine, paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. [ omitted ]. The result is an authentic driving experience that retains the charm and character that made the Series 1 E-Type an icon of its era.
Inside, the classic leather interior and wood-rim steering wheel showcase the craftsmanship that defined Jaguar's approach to luxury performance. The view down the long, elegant bonnet remains one of the most recognizable and romantic in motoring history.
Highlights include:
-Two-owner vehicle with documented provenance
-Original paint in blue, showing honest patina and age
-3.8L inline six-cylinder engine
-4-speed manual transmission
-Sole modification: updated carburetor for drivability
-Original interior and trim
This 1964 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 can be seen at the St. Louis showroom located at 1237 Central Park Drive, O'Fallon IL

Description states "original interior". Doubtful. Why are sills blue, seats & door cards black, household carpet for floor mats. Was there a fire in the engine compartment? Why is underside of bonnet rusted/red? Primer? Original paint indicated as "champagne". No such color for S1s.. could be silver. (though buyers cold specify color). "numbers matching", but no Heritage Certificate shown.
