This car was owned by Lindsay Tutt of Boronia, Victoria, in the 1970's and he raced it at a club meeting at Calder in 1976. It's listed as such in Roger Paine's E Type Register document (my copy is from 1991). I bought a 4.2 FHC from Lindsay in 2014 and it came with two engines - it's original one, in pieces, and RA3814-9, fitted and running. I recommissioned the car and have done about 11000 miles in four years, mainly on Jaguar Car Club (Vic) runs, and local use. It goes well (Winton sprints!) despite being leaky - it was stored by Lindsay from 1984 until I bought it in 2014, so the seals have seen better days. If the owner of 861298 would like his car to be reunited with its original engine, he/she should contact me at long.andrew.c@edumail.vic.gov.au. I intend to sell the engine when my original engine is rebuilt.

The car was raced in VIctoria Australia in the early 1970's by Norm Lutz. The engine was parted from the car, but it's location is known.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
