Chassis 860974 was manufactured in October 1962, and is a UK home market RHD example.
The car is presented in its factory external and internal colourways, and has excellent shut lines and paint.
The car comes with its Jaguar Heritage certificate, original registration book and period radio, which can either be fitted as is, or upgraded to include DAB and Bluetooth connectivity.
The wider, offset chrome wire wheels, gives this E-type a more poised stance, and also provides more grip and secure handling.
Restored over many years by one of our most knowledgeable and passionate Jaguar collectors, this matching body and engine numbered example, now features the later and desirable E-type 4.2 fully synchromesh gearbox, which rewards with delicate and precise gear changes.
The body was restored by Rod Jay of RJ Panels Ltd, who is amongst the best when it comes to restoring an E-type shell.
The provenance includes a suite of photos, which support the comprehensive rebuild, together with invoices covering the rebuild of the engine and gearbox.
The car will be supplied with a full service and 12 months MOT
