Car offered at auction 7/14/04
www.classicauctions.co.uk/Car_entries_index.html
Sellers description:
This 1972-built E Type, an original righthand drive S3 V12 coupe, has been in the same family ownership since January 1999, since when, it is claimed, very few miles have been driven. During the last seventeen years, in fact, only 19,000 miles have been clocked up. Whilst the 78,863 miles displayed when entered for this auction is claimed by the vendor to be the genuine total from new and, indeed, this is confirmed by mileage entries on a fifteen strong run of old MOTs on file.
The monocoque is said to be good, the body panels and Willow Green paintwork average. The green leather interior is described as good, and both the 5.3-litre 12-cylinder engine and 4-speed manual gearbox are reportedly in good order as is all the electrical equipment. The fixed head is currently taxed until June of next year and the MOT will not require re-testing until next July.

A host of changes were made to the E-Type for its Series III incarnation. A new 5.3 litre V12 engine was introduced as well as uprated brakes and power steering. The short wheelbase fixed head coupé body style was discontinued and the V12 was available only as a convertible and 2+2 coupé. The car was easily identifiable from earlier models by the large cross-slatted front grille, flared wheel arches and a badge on the rear that proudly states what lies under the bonnet.
Finished in the beautiful Jaguar colour of Willow Green with matching Suede Green leather interior, 'KGV 76K' was originally dispatched from Browns Lane in 1971 and delivered new to a UK buyer. Reading just over 80,000 believed genuine miles, there are 19 previous MoT certificates since 1987 that support the total mileage. Numerous bills and receipts from a large history file document expenditure, especially in the last 18 months. Recent work includes a professional respray and there are pictures in the file showing the work carried out. The Willow Green paint has been finished to a high standard and the shut lines are excellent with straight and true body panels. The Suede Green leather interior is highly original and in beautiful condition.
Additional features include a stainless steel exhaust system and 4-speed manual gearbox. The V12 engine fires first time, it sounds very healthy with good oil pressure and a recent service has just been carried out. Supplied with a recent MoT certificate, this E-Type is ready for use this spring and would make an ideal touring companion.

Sold by the Runnymede Motor Company of Farnham Common in July 2025. Seller's description below.
www.runnymedemotorcompany.com/Cars/Details/278/1972-Jaguar-E-Type-V12-22-Coupe
1972 Jaguar V12 E Type 2+2 Coupe, finished in Willow Green with contrasting Suede Green leather interior, and Green carpets. This is an original UK supplied right hand drive car and on viewing the car, it becomes apparent that whilst it has probably had some remedial paintwork during the past 23 years, the interior is completely original and in outstanding condition for its age. Sitting on chrome wire wheels and fitted with manual transmission, this is a lovely example in a delightful colour scheme that was purchased from us back in 2016 and has been garaged and very well kept ever since. It comes with a thick history file with numerous service invoices, photographs and many expired MoT certificates showing that it has covered 81,500 miles in total. This represents an inexpensive route into the ownership of an E Type that will be enjoyed by the next fortunate owner.
