Lot #218731
This 1969 Jaguar XKE Series II 2+2 is finished in Pale Primrose over black and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six linked with a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a louvered clamshell hood, four-wheel disc brakes, 15″ wire wheels, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, an AM/FM radio, and air conditioning. This XKE 2+2 was acquired by the late owner in 2019 and is now offered on dealer consignment with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, the owner’s manual, service records, spare parts, and a clean Idaho title.
The car came finished from the factory in Pale Primrose, and the seller notes prior paintwork. Exterior equipment includes sealed-beam open headlights, a driver-side mirror, wraparound chrome bumpers, bright trim, a louvered clamshell hood, and dual exhaust outlets. The driver’s door hinge was replaced in July 2025.
The 15″ wire wheels are secured by earless knock-offs and are mounted with 185VR15 Dunlop SP Sport tires. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors. Work in 2025 involved bleeding the brake system, rebuilding the upper ball joints, and replacing the right front upper control arm bushing.
The 2+2 cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in black along with a color-coordinated center console, door panels, and carpets. Interior appointments include an AM/FM radio, a Bowman stereo speaker control, a locking glovebox, and air conditioning. The seller notes that the rear door bracket is broken and there is no headliner installed.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline as well as an analog clock and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 84k miles.
The 4.2-liter inline-six was factory equipped with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and rated at 246 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque when new. The carburetor was adjusted in May 2025.
Engine stamping 7R35813-9 is shown above and a corresponding number is listed on the Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate lists the factory colors and serial numbers along with a build date of November 28, 1968.
