According to its Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate, EPE 288 was originally supplied by British Leyland, New York on 4th June 1969 as a manual transmission FHC finished in Regency red over black leather. Imported back to the UK in early 2001, it was comprehensively restored in 2003. This included repainting, retrimming, conversion to right-hand drive and a replacement engine being fitted at a cost of over £37,000 (nearly £70,000 today). Written invoices and photos on file attest to the depth of the works. Acquired by the vendor in 2009, it has been well-cared for ever since and only used for classic car shows where it has won 'best in show' awards. Now finished in an attractive colourway of silver over red leather, a coveted combination for 1960's classics, it is offered with a detailed history file showing importation papers, restoration photos, restoration invoices, more recent invoices for sundry items and current V5C document.
