Hi Mark,
Splendid car! Looks really great.
What type of wheels and tyres are mounted? As far as I can see 15x 6 inch wheels and 205/70 tyres. But what is the make and type of the tyres? May be you can mail some details to icon66@xs4all.nl .
Thanks in advance. Martin (1E32930), Netherlands

British Racing Green with Beige interior. Matching numbers with the following upgrades.

1. 5 Speed transmission

2. Aluminum radiator.

3. Coolcat cooling fan.

7. Poly bushings front suspension.

8. Uprated front sway bar

9. Modern lower ball joints.

10. Dayton Chrome wire wheels (6" tubeless)

11. GM alternator.

The engine was rebuilt by Coventry West in 2011 and has approximately 15,000 miles on it. At that time a new 5 speed transmission was installed along with a new clutch assembly and water pump. Brakes were rebuilt in 2005 with stainless steel cylinders. Carburetors were rebuilt in 2011.

I am the third owner. The car was originally sold in California. Sometime in the early 90's it was sold to the second owner in Ohio. In 2004 the car received a bare metal repaint in BRG along with re-chroming most of the bright work. The car has all original sheet metal. I purchased the car in 2005.

In 2011 the car was part of a display at Quail Lodge during the Monterey Car Week to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the E Type .

The paint is show quality with no dents, scratches or chips, all panel gaps are as they should be. The interior has been updated with new headliner, dash pad, carpets and leather seat covers. The car runs and drives perfectly. When I relocated to Northern California I drove the car there 500 miles without any problems. This is a car that needs nothing but to to be driven, which since my move in 2018 has been less that 1,000 miles/year which is my reason for sale.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
