• Finished in a desirable colour combination
• Restored to a very high standard
• Fitted with its original engine
• Ready to be used and enjoyed
Finished in striking Gunmetal Grey with a beautifully contrasting Oxblood Red leather interior, this 1964 Jaguar E-Type Series I is fitted with its original engine 4.2 litre engine and is an exceptionally well-presented example that has benefitted from a comprehensive restoration.
Originally sourced and tracked down in the USA before being repatriated to the UK, the car was subsequently converted to right hand drive as part of its restoration. The extensive work undertaken included a full respray, rebuild of the suspension, a cosmetic engine refresh including an internal bore scope check confirming the internals to be in good condition, and restoration of the interior to the oxblood red leather that it wears today. The final result is a car that presents superbly throughout, with excellent paintwork, a highly attractive interior and impressive overall attention to detail. Having been dry stored by its current vendor, the E-Type has been treated to a recent light recommissioning ensuring its ready for the open road. Presented in wonderful order it drives very well indeed and offers iconic styling for which the Series I E-Type is so highly regarded. The restoration has been carefully documented, with the car accompanied by a file containing various invoices, paperwork and a detailed report outlining the restoration process and works completed.
A handsome and desirable Series I E-Type in an appealing colour combination, supplied with supporting history and restoration documentation, and its current V5 registration document. An excellent opportunity to acquire a restored example of one of Britain's most celebrated sportscars. Consigned by Daniel Godin
