Initially for sale January 2025, dealer says:
1965 Jaguar E Type S1 4. 2 FHC
The E-Type S1 4. 2 is considered to be the pick of all the E-Type models. With only 1016 RHD cars built in 1965. This car retains its original numbers matching engine. This was stripped and overhauled when the car was upgraded with the following, 5 speed gearbox with a matched ratio limited slip differential. The brakes have been upgraded to 4-piston alloy calipers and ventilated discs, front and rear. The suspension has been upgraded with stiffer antiroll bars, front and rear. Stiffer front torsion bars. Adjustable height rear springs and adjustable dampers all round. The suspension bushes are upgraded Super-Pro. Wide chrome 72 spoke wire wheels and 205/ 70/ 15 tyres. Electronic ignition. Hi-Torque starter motor. Hi-Output alternator. Upgraded alloy radiator and cooling fans. Air conditioning. Reverse camera. 1” smaller steering wheel. EZ electric power steering. All new leather interior, carpets and headlining. The car has done minimal mileage since this work has been completed. The heritage certificate shows the car was a home delivery through Henlys and H R Owen London. The first owner is recorded as R J O Arkell of Berkshire. We believe the car came to Australia early in its life. Ian Cummins purchased the car many years ago and used it in regularity events. The leather bonnet straps nod to past history.

Has re appeared after reported sale at higher price?
Now at Concourse Classics NSW
Details
This fabulous E Type coupe was manufactured on the 21st of May, 1965 and was dispatched to Henlys, London on the 4th of June, 1965. Originally Opalescant Dark Green with suede green interior, the car presents today as an older restoration in excellent condition, finished in British Racing Green with suede green interior. The history of the car in the UK is unknown as is exactly when the car made it’s way to our shores but Concours Sportscar Restoration was recently asked to fully sort and recommission the car.
It is uncertain who completed the restoration which includes a long list of upgrades and modernisations:
air conditioning
5 speed transmission
15 x 6.5in wide chrome wire wheels
electric power steering
upgraded braking system
upgraded suspension
As a part of the recommissioning work undertaken, there was a number of suggested improvements also undertaken through the knowledge and experience that the team at CSR has. The exhaust was removed and replaced with a Classic Fabs stainless steel big bore system and the engine re tuned accordingly giving a very noticeable increase in torque and power along with a fantastic exhaust note. The wheel alignment geometry altered to fully realise the upgrades that had been made to the suspension and steering, transforming the way the car handles, steers and it’s straight line stability.
This E Type presents very well but drives even better. The powersteering and air conditioning make for a very comfortable car that can be used regularly and the 5 speed gearbox, braking and suspension upgrades allow the driver to pick up the pace with ease and safety. She is now fully sorted and ready for immediate enjoyment.
This is a great opportunity to purchase a very desirable original right hand drive, matching numbers series 1 E Type coupe at a very keen price.
