Auction says removed because item was no longer available. Seller jamezws1, 78k miles.

Sellers description:

Beautiful 1968 Covered Headlight E-Type Convertible

Same Lady Owner 30 Years

£57,577.00

Mileage: 78,748

This car has been owned by the same lady for the past 30 years. It was driven gently and maintained carefully. It is strikingly beautiful with the great combination of very nice Opalescent Maroon paint and completely redone tan interior. It has a new tan canvas top and all the bumpers have been rechromed. It has 5 new Vedrestein tires in the original size. The car is matching numbers. The engine has 40-50lbs of oil pressure when hot and it runs superbly. The front end is tight and has Koni shocks repainted the color of original shocks. The clutch, transmission, and brakes are all operating excellently. It has a new brake master cylinder, new front brake hoses, both new radiator fan motors, new heater fan motor, and new exhaust chrome resonators. The front floor pans have been replaced with original Martin Robey pans. The rear floors, rockers, and trunk bottom are all very solid. The engine compartment has been detailed to nice street standards. The car originally had A/C and the interior blower motor fan is still mounted on the passenger firewall. All other components were removed and no longer present. Glass covered headlights have been retrofitted with all original series one components and series one wire wheel spinners have been added. From the outside the car looks exactly like a series one car. It has improvements over the series one cars as it has dual radiator fans, solving the overheating problems of the series ones. It has reclining seats with removable headrests, providing much more comfort than the earlier cars. The gearbox is noticeably smoother shifting than the previous 4.2 cars. It has a factory jack and handle, new Thor knockoff hammer, and factory owner's manual in pouch. This is a Beautiful color combination, a matching numbers, very solid, well maintained, and great driving example of the universally acknowledged most beautiful car ever made.
