Desirable Open Two Seater specification

This 1967 example is a desirable Series 1 E-Type in Open Two Seater (OTS) specification. It's a left-hand drive car, originally supplied to the USA via a New York dealer. it has been in Sweden since 1987.

Here we have one of the very few surviving examples of a Series 1 OTS that remains unrestored. It has had some work over the years, of course, including a full respray in the original colour and a rebuild of its 4.2-litre XK engine.

As the photograph shows, the Jag presents beautifully, ready to meet its next custodian.

The vendor tells us that while this E-Type has been refinished and its engine has been rebuilt, it has never undergone a full restoration. This makes it rare, and there's a charm to an original car that has never been substantially apart, which can get lost during an extensive restoration. The bodywork, paint and trim all present very well. The same can be said for the folding soft top, which reportedly operates correctly. The car's cabin is remarkably patina, as befits its age, and we're informed that all the instruments and switchgear appear to work correctly.
