    Ebay item 6/19/07

    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-E-Type-1966-Jaguar-E-Type-Hardtop-Converti ...

Current bid $16,811.99 reserve not met, 14 bids, 6 days left in auction. 196k miles. Visalia, California

    Sellers description:

The vehicle has not been on the road for about 20 years. It is complete and does run. We started the vehicle by directly injecting the fuel into the carburetors. The car fired right up and had very good oil pressure. The tires were replaced so we could move it around the shop. We located the factory Jaguar tool kit & jack in the trunk. There was also a new top cover for the soft top. The only part that I see that is missing is the back glass for the hardtop. I found a couple areas where the vehicle appears to have signs of rust.

I also would like to mention that the upper door panels have rust which is not shown in the photos. The left and right floor or foot pans are thin and should be repaired. They do not show any signs of rust from the bottom but appear that water may have set in the carpet.

    DATA TAG INFORMATION:

CAR NO. IE I2304 ENGINE NO. 7E 7297-9

BODY NO. 4E 3749 GEAR BOX NO. EJ6428

The engine in the car is not the original engine. We will be including the orginal numbers matching engine and head with the sale of the vehicle. Please contact me if you have any questions about the numbers or condition of the vehicle. I will take photos of any items that may help you with the purchase. Please understand that I have been flooded with calls and e-mails about the vehicle and I will do my best to answer all questions ASAP.

The engine currently in the vehicle stamped numbers are 7E13755-9 on both the block & head.

The numbers on the orignal block & head are 7E7297-9. They are clearly stamped in the engine that comes with the sell of the vehicle.

For sale at E and R Classics of Waalwijk for 149,950 euros. Amended seller's description below.

    www.erclassics.com/jaguar-e-type-series-1-cabriolet-1965-j2304/

Jaguar E Type Series 1 convertible with a matching numbers 4.2 litre straight six engine coupled with a 4 speed manual transmission for an engaging driving experience. The car was body off restored in 2022 and meticulously rebuilt, resulting in an E Type in concours condition. Since restoration it has only been driven approximately 2000 kms. This is an opportunity to own an iconic British sports car with its unique original specification.

Visually the E Type is impressive with the bodywork featuring the original colour, Pale Primrose that accentuates the sleek lines with the chrome detailing and classic wire wheels to create a stylish contrast. The matching numbers black interior compliments the black top giving the whole a sporty appearance. Inside you'll find the distinctive dashboard, classic Smiths gauges and wooden sports steering wheel that create that authentic E Type experience.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
