    Lot #230280

This 1966 Jaguar XKE Series I roadster was restored by Kolorworks of Asbury Park, New Jersey, between 1993 and 1994, and a subsequent refresh completed in 2014 included the replacement of chassis and mechanical components. Powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six linked to a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential, the car is finished in British Racing Green over tan leather. Equipment includes a tan soft top, enclosed headlights, 15″ wire-spoke wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, triple windshield wipers, and a heater. The current owner purchased the car in 2017. This XKE Series I roadster is now offered on dealer consignment with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, service records, and a clean Arizona title.

Originally Carmen Red, the car was repainted in British Racing Green during previous ownership. Exterior features include a tan soft top, a tan soft top boot, enclosed headlights, a louvered clamshell hood, wraparound chrome bumpers, bright trim, a driver-side mirror, triple windshield wipers, and dual exhaust outlets.

The 15″ wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-offs and were mounted with 185/70 Vredestein Sprint Classic tires and replacement tubes in April 2022. The spare tire was also replaced. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors. The brake master cylinder and brake booster were replaced in 2017. Work in 2020 involved replacing the brake servo and overhauling the front brake calipers.

The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in tan leather along with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Interior appointments include black vinyl dash trim, a sliding rearview mirror, and a heater. A replacement turn signal switch was fitted in 2017. A steering wheel was installed in 2020 and refitted with the correct hub in 2022. A driver-side inner door handle was installed in March 2025.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a Smiths 160-mph speedometer and a 6,000-rpm tachometer, while auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage are located in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 18k miles and was reset during the restoration. The owner has added around 2,500 miles.

The 4.2-liter inline-six features triple SU carburetors and was factory rated at 265 horsepower and 283 lb-ft of torque. It was rebuilt during previous ownership and the selling dealer notes it has been used for around 18k miles. The alternator and regulator were replaced in 2017. Service in 2020 included overhauling the carburetors, resealing the oil filter adapter housing, installing a spin-on oil filter adapter, and tightening the radiator hoses. The ignition coil, spark plugs, and carburetor needles and seats were replaced in March 2025.

Cylinder head stamping 7E6726-9 matches the number listed on the Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a full-synchromesh four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The transmission tail housing was resealed and the transmission mount was repaired in 2020, at which time the clutch housing seal and rear seal were replaced.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust Production Record Trace certificate shows the original colors and drivetrain numbers as well as the build and dispatch dates.
