Subject: [Bring a Trailer] New Comment On: 1974 Jaguar E-Type Series III Roadster V12

I bought J661E11034 in May 1966. I was the second owner and owned it until 1968 or thereafter. It was Primrose / Black and was fitted with the new Dunlop SP 41's which were black side wall and the predecessor of the SP 41's that are on my SIII.

I believe the original owner was a gentleman named Michael Boyle who was in the movie business, and who bought the car new from "John Lance" Burbank Imports.

This car was very special to me, since I had been advised by everyone to stay away from Jaguars.

I was not impressed.

After driving it for a few years I was importuned to sell it since I would be starting law school and it would sit in a parking lot.

Post law school when I was interested in recovering the aforementioned "11034"

In point of fact, I traced this car (in a failed attempt to get it back) and found it at a junk yard, stripped, however at that time it was beyond my belief that this once beautiful car would come to that.

I have images of my younger visage with this car in 1966. A photo of that is proudly in my garage today.

This one started my love for this wonderful Marque, having been a passenger in my cousin Stephen's XK120 in the early 1950's.

You can see my replacement circa 1974 in the database that I bought then.

If I could have recovered "11034" I would have but it was a disaster.

I don't know the whereabouts of this car and am sorry, but I am still around and fortunately I do remember the serial number even if I don't know what I did yesterday!!

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
