Car to be at auction 2/14
www.coys.co.uk/auction.php
Auction description:
Lot 210 - 1965 Jaguar E Type Mk 1 4.2 Fixed Head Coupe
Estimate: £30,000 - £40,000
Registration Number: PNW 290C
Chassis Number: 1E20030
This lovely example, with the 4.2 engine in red, retains its original black leather interior and was the subject of a bare metal restoration which began in 2003 and was finished in 2006. There is photographic evidence and many receipts of this restoration on file. The matching numbers engine was totally stripped and rebuilt including a bare metal respray, also, the car had new flooring throughout which was also powder coated. The vendor has also has also added a couple of upgrades to meet with modern day motoring desires - discreet air conditioning, vented disc brakes and a manual electric fan for those typically tedious City traffic jams!
This is a great example of the iconic British marque which still raised eyebrows wherever its driven and is as much a joy to drive on the country roads of the UK and Europe today as it was in 1965. An appreciating asset and an opportunity which should not be missed.

This E-type has undergone a great deal of restoration, having been taken down to the bare shell and repainted, also comes with a large photographic folder to show the work that was carried out.
