I fell in love with the E-Type the first time I saw one back in 1962, never dreaming as a kid that some day I would actually own one. I've had this car since 1979, slowly restoring it along the way when finances permitted. It even came with the original '62 plates when I bought it.

I live in Columbia, SC where I practice architecture. This is the second E-Type for me and I have owned this one for about 5 years. I drive the car weekly and daily in nice weather. My immediate objective is to keep the car in first class driveable condition. The car is all original with about 60,000 miles. As far as I can tell this may be the last existing imported car of this model.

I live in Perth, Western Australia, with my wife Moira and mother of our four adult children (all married off). My passion with Jaguars started as a 10 year old admiring a neighbours early MK2, in Gisborne, New Zealand. I bought an immaculate 65 Mk2 3.4 MOD (167410DN), when I was about 20. After many other Jags in between, this Mk2 followed us to Australia and had a concourse restoration completed a few years ago, ready for several family weddings. I have a number of classic Jags, including the Series 1 (restored) and a Series 3 E Type undergoing restoration at present. Now semi retired, I enjoy repairing cars with my boys and share their interests in classic cars. We have learnt over many years to tackle most repairs ourselves. We do not lack too much equipment to do so, including a low bake booth. My passion for these classics was restored rebuilding my Mk2, which is much admired when it is out and about. "You might think my car is a classic, but my real treasure is in Heaven".

Well, I've been bitten by the "E" bug ever since I saw the Revell model of a red S-1 coupe as a kid in the base hobby shop at Gtmo, Cuba where I grew up. I never actually saw one in person until years later and fell in love all over again. Now I am restoring Big Red, a '69 2+2 and I have Priscilla, a '69 ots. My garage aslo has a '56 Silver Cloud, Lisa, and a '97 H-D FLHTCi named Alexander. I am an east-coaster and I live in Mantua, NJ just outside Philly.

My father had this maroon S1.5 FHC imported from Arizona in 1989. He subsequently had it converted to RHD and triple SU carbs. I have recently taken responsibilityfor the car after a period of neglect. I am doing a rolling restoration program tackling jobs as they arise. As a newcomer to all this I appreciate help and advice from E Type specialists and afficionados on technical issues.

I bought 861023 in November 2014 and it's having a full restoration to get back on the road for Summer 2016. The first owner was Paul de Ferranti Craddock Pycroft who raced the car and won trophies in 1963 and 1964. He was also the winner of the first ever race at Goodwood in 1948 - also driving a Jaguar. This E-type was one of only 76 to be supplied with a close ratio gear box (confirmed by JDHT) and that might suggest why it was built in November 1962 but not registered until March 1963 when E-types were in high demand. The CR option would have cost more and was only sought after by people like race drivers. Original colour combination was Opalescent Dark Blue with red interior. This is the same as 1 VHP used by Henlys as a demonstrator. It's been suggested that 861023 may also have been used as a demonstrator while waiting for a buyer. It was originally registered in Anglesey where the first registration was sold on in the early days.
