1963 Jaguar XKE Series I 3.8 Convertible
It is not very often that one can find a totally virgin car. This is an absolutely original, numbers matching, 57,000 mile 1963 Series I convertible. All original paint, as well as interior, exceptional chrome, and great engine. Including the original radio. This two-owner car was recently serviced, and the engine runs like a new car. It is rust free, and has all of its original tools including, tool roll and manual. If you enjoy this patina you may drive the car just the way it is, or have a perfect candidate for a proper restoration.

A very interesting, unmolested, seemingly well survived original, now for sale on eBay - cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
What a great car - hopefully the new owner will fully appreciate its value and not over-restore it!

Car returns to ebay 4/14/08
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-1963-JAGUAR-XKE-E-TYPE-ROADSTER-ORIGINAL_W ...
Current bid $39,998, no reserve, 12 bids, 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
1963 JAGUAR XKE ROADSTER
My intention was to find the nicest unrestored, unmolested original E-Type with the aluminum dash and console that I could find. The pictures show the original interior (worn seats), solid floors, original working AM radio, worn convertible top and nice boot cover. Trunk floor solid, no rust. Tool kit (missing some items) and old spare tire and wheel. Body has its share of dings and blemishes. Original paint thin in some areas. Great patina. Chrome is very nice and original.
My desire was an early E-Type that retained its original appearance with the following mechanical improvements.
4 new Michelin tires.
Perfomance crank, alum generator and water pump pulleys with new belt.
Replaced oil sump gaskets and rear main seal.
Main and rod bearings checked for wear-virtually none.
Spin on oil filter adapter.
Alum. Classic Jaguar flywheel w/new clutch and release bearing.
New slave and master cylinder with braided steel hose.
New steel braided ext. oil line, block to head.
New engine mounts (all three).
New water hoses and clamps (front to rear).
New Stainless steel exhaust system (front to rear).
New 5spd full sync gear box (Classic Jaguar).
New reduction gear starter.
New electric fan thermostat switch.
New battery, thermostat and wiper blades.
New steering rack mounts (billet) and tie rod ends.
Front end alignment- perfect.
New wheel bearings and seals and brake rotors (drilled).
New upper and lower ball joints.
New front Willwood brake calipers w/steel lines.
New euythane suspension bushings.
New adjustable (Classic Jaguar) torsion plate and adjustable front shocks.
There are any number of new items that I'm sure I have forgotten. Included in the purchase are all the original items that were replaced. I have the original perfect working gear box, old flywheel, calipers, rotors, old oil filter cartridge housing, starter and front and rear grille guards.
All lights, gauges, horn, warning lamps, fan, wipers and windows work. Items that do not work are the washer pump, clock, drivers door doesn't open from the inside. Carburators should be rebuilt sometime. The moulding from the drivers door interior panel is missing.

1963 Jaguar XKE Series 1 Roadster
Offered for sale is a ''one of a kind'' Series 1 Jaguar XKE Roadster. ''They're only original once'' and this XKE presents a rare opportunity to be one of the few to own an unrestored and fabulous driving example of this iconic sports car.
The owner has done a magnificent job of making the E an even better performance car by adding a 5-speed transmission, larger electric radiator fan, larger disc brakes, and numerous other upgrades. However, and best of all, he has kept every single component that was removed in order to preserve the original provenance of the XKE should you wish to put it back to ''dead stock.'' The car has gone through a complete mechanical refreshing and runs and drives like it did in 1963.
The seats have been recovered and shifter boot replaced. The rest of the interior remains original as delivered. The car also retains its original cloth soft top and boot cover. The original and complete tool kit is present as are the original books. The car is matching numbers as documented by the Heritage Trust Certificate which illustrates the XKE's original build order and serial numbers for body, transmission and engine.
The Opalescent Silver Gray paint is original to car showing an aging patina but has been untouched since the Jag's build date in 1963. The original miles are just over 66K and has been routinely serviced throughout its life by one of finest E-type restoration shops in the country. This Series 1 E-type truly represents the meaning of a survivor and runs and drives the way it did when driven off the showroom floor.
Price: $205,000

Aluminum dash, solid rust free body, original tools and manual, jack and knock off hammer.
