Car to be at auction 11/16
www.rmsothebys.com/tv16/duemila-ruote/lots/1962-jaguar-e-type-s1-38-ots/1087029

Auction description;
Duemila Ruote
25-27 November 2016
1962 Jaguar E-Type S1 3.8 OTS

Again, poor re-stamping on the cylinder head, as on many other cars of the Duemila Ruote collection, but perhaps not as bad as some. Still a re-stamping, almost looks like this could be the correct cylinder head for another car in the collection, but hard to be sure. Some really careful examination might help. It looks like it was 7E4XX5-9 or 7E4XX5-8

Ok, that last digit before the hyphen and compression ratio could also be a "3" so perhaps then not after all the head from 1E11132
that originally had: 7E4440-8, but another Series 1 4.2L. That car now has a Series 1 2+2 engine and cylinder head.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
