Description
This vehicle began life as a road car, which was disassembled and built from scratch as a vintage racer. The goal was to build a safe, reliable, and competitive road racer. The vehicle is a 1962 Series One Jaguar painted Viper Blue with twin White racing stripes. The car was converted to RHD (Right Hand Drive). The engine is a 4.2L Jaguar motor with High compression Head, and Three Webers, making a conservative 375 HP. High Compression Venolia Pistons, light weight Crower Billet CNC Rods with 3/8 rod bolts. The crank has been nitrated, radiused, balanced. The motor is Dry Sumped 4 stage Weaver Pump, remote oil filter and cooler, All AN and braided steel plumbing through out. The brake system consists of XJS oversized cross-drilled and vented rotors and 4 piston calipers. The rear calipers are vented with series 2 calipers. The rear is a DANA limited slip unit. The chassis has been reinforced throughout the car (chassis connectors and cross members for stiffening). The roll cage was built to SCCA SR specs Tig welded seamless mild steel. The gearbox is a Borg-Warner World Class T-5 (not the smaller 4-cycle model normally used) mated to a B+G quick shifter and Tilton multi disc 7 inch clutch and aluminum flywheel.
