Ebay item 10/23/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-4-2-Jaguar-XKE-1969-Convertible-Roadster-P ...
Current bid $17,876 reserve not met, 10 bids 5 days left in auction. 96k miles.

Sellers description:
This 1969 convertible has been my pride and joy for the last 12 years. As I have recently retired and am getting older, I simply cannot give her the attention she deserves. I am looking for a car enthusiast who can appreciate the beauty and prestige of the classic jag.

* Totally restored by previous owner in late eighties. 16,600k miles since then.
* All original records, receipts, description, parts used and service since 1985 through present
* Initial restoration done by Roger Worthington a well known restoration pro and included:
+ Engine transmission, crankshaft pulled and rebuilt
+ New valves, piston, headers, suspension
+ Interior, radiator, ANSA exhaust
+ Bodywork stripped, painted with chrome removed, etc. etc. etc
+ Black canvas top
+ Triple Weber performance carbs
+ Quick car

* I purchased from local owner in 1998
* In the last year I have updated or upgraded (all work professionally done):
+ Suspension
+ Tie rods
+ Ball pinions
+ All total brake system and calipers
+ Shocks
+ Muffler
+ Rear end differential bearing
+ Clutch cylinder
+ Fuse boxes
+ steering rax
+ Hoses
+ etc. etc. etc at a cost exceeding $10k
+ Carbs set at Summit Point Raceway last week (10/13/10)

Condition:
The car is in tremendous shape but yes, it still needs work. It is mechanically sound - I have driven it around town and even on longer 250+ mile trips. It is a presentable car and this is an honest evaluation. It most likely needs (in the future)

* Minor body work on lower outside
* Footwells & under heater area

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
