This is the Jaguar that you’ve been waiting for, and here’s why. It is a stunning, high quality car, and it’s priced realistically. If you are looking for a well maintained, well sorted car that you can drive anywhere with confidence, this is it. The car is finished in the original maroon color. The paint is in very good condition, showing only very minor flaws that may be seen only under close inspection and only under the right lighting conditions. The gorgeous black interior is virtually flawless. There are no rips, tears, cracks or any other defects on the seats, door panels, dash, console, headliner, carpet etc. Everything works just as it should including all of the gauges, switches, lights controls etc. It even has air conditioning! The condition of the engine compartment is beautiful showing only the patina of age on a 35 year old car. There is no rust, no nests of wires and no leaks at all. The car has a complete new exhaust system including new porcelainized exhaust manifolds. The car rides on beautiful brand new chrome spoke wheels with new spinners and new Dunlop Elite White Sidewall Tires. All of the chrome on the car is virtually perfect. Any chrome that showed any sign of deterioration has been replaced, from the bumpers to the door handles and all lenses have been replaced with new units. The same is true for any rubber weather stripping or seals. Anything that was deteriorated has been replaced. All required maintenance has been meticulously performed with receipts going back 20 years that total over $30,000.00. This includes minor maintenance such as belts, hoses, tune ups, steering rack boots, carburetor adjustments, valve adjustments etc, as well as all major maintenance such as brake calipers and rotors, crankshaft seals, clutch, valve jobs, etc. Anything that was needed was done. There’s more! In the interest of dependability, the car has been upgraded to triple Weber carburetors as well as an electronic ignition. There is only one small flaw on this car that needs to be tended to. The air conditioning needs to be recharged. The A/C lines were replaced last season and the air conditioning functioned properly at that time. At this time the system works properly including the switches and the compressor, but it does not blow cold, indicating that it needs only a charge. Jaguar 2+2s of this caliber are difficult to find. They are wonderful cars to own and drive and they have been overlooked and undervalued for many years. But this won’t last. Their prices have been increasing steadily over the past few years and will continue to do so. In fact these cars are significantly rarer than their “roadster” brethren. With 8627 roadsters being produced and only 5326 2+2s being produced in 1969, a car of this quality is an excellent investment.

Car returns to ebay 12/17/11
Car has a buy it now price of $24,000 for 20 days. Car now said to be in Laguna Hills, California. 14.7k miles.
1969 Jaguar XKE 2+2 Coupe. The car's low mileage of 14,700 miles is believed to be the original miles. Beautifully finished in Regency Red with completely original Black Leather interior. All mechanicals have been gone through and the car runs and drives wonderfully. The 4.2L in-line six is equipped with three weber carburetors and performs very strong. The car is also equipped with the desirable 4 speed manual transmission and air-conditioning which has been converted to the modern R134-A refrigerant. It is an excellent touring classic that makes a great driver.
