We are delighted to offer this 1970 E Type Series II 4.2 litre in Regency Red with Grey leather interior. First registered in October 1970, we have a Heritage certificate for the car confirming it was originally supplied by Ashton Preston and that it remains in its original colour combination. It is clear it has led a cherished life, coming with large bundle of invoices for maintenance and parts over the years. It is also pleasing to see an advisory free MoT certificate taking us to August 2025, despite the car being technically exempt. Our vendor has owned it for 9 years but health issues mean its time for a new home.

This car looks stunning in its original Regency Red with lovely chrome restored in 2007, and well presented wire wheels. There are photos on file showing a glass out respray but they are undated. The interior is nice with a dash free from damage and tight headlining. The seat leather has slight cracking which doesn't detract from the interior ambience. A smart looking wooden rimmed steering wheel and gear knob finish the cabin off nicely. There is a clean boot area and underneath is a stainless steel exhaust system fitted in 2004 that should last the lifetime of the car.

We have driven the car for its slow speed tracking video and it started on the button and drives nicely. It comes with V5C, current and old MoTs, bundle of invoices and heritage certificate.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
