Sold by Vintage and Prestige Classic Cars of Northampton in February 2022. Seller's description below.
www.vandp.net/sales/2206/1970-jaguar-e-type-series-2-4-2-litre-fixed-head-coupe/

1970 E Type Series 2 4.2 litre Fixed Head Coupe. Chassis number 1R21025. Registration number DDA800J. One owner from new! This car was ordered for the owner by her father in law as a present. He used another relative, an employee at Jaguar Cars to take advantage of the employee discount scheme operating at that time to order it on their behalf. The lady owner is regrettably suffering from the onset of old age confusion and thus her lovely car needs to be sold along with her husband's Rolls Royce Phantom 1, both of which we are handling.

Amazingly the car has covered a scant 35,601 miles from new with MoT certificates to back up the mileage. The car bears its original primrose yellow paint which is in very good order having always been garaged throughout its life. The interior original black leather is in good order along with the black carpets. A Webasto sunroof was fitted when new. This is a fully matching numbers car. The story continues under the bonnet with a lusty 4.2 litre engine that fires up instantly and performs exactly as one might expect from a low mileage Jaguar like this.

The car is solid, corrosion free and in time warp condition. Photographed as we found it with no cleaning or polishing done whatsoever. The seats would benefit from liberal coatings of hide food and the car could do with an intensive day long detailing and polishing to show it in the light it deserves. It is almost impossible to find a car with such provenance.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
