    Auction description:
    Body colour: Red
    Date Manufactured: 1968
    Registration Number: YMO 282F
    Chassis Number: 1E51308
    Engine Number: 7E555958
    Engine: cc: 4235
    History:
First registered in the UK on 1st August 1999 this vehicle, the second of the 2+2 E-Types on offer today, spent the first 31 years of its life in the warm, dry climate of South Africa ? hence the excellent rust-free bodywork you see before you. The biscuit leather interior is also in very good order throughout.

In the substantial history file is an invoice from 1999 (when the indicated mileage was 70,846), that shows the car was treated to a ?3,131 service which included a full overhaul of the brakes, steering, suspension and carburretors. It also benefits from a new set of chrome wire wheels which have only recently been fitted.

A 4-speed manual model with an all-synchro box, it is said to drive extremely well with excellent handling and roadholding. Also accompanying the car is an original owner?s manual and spare parts catalogues plus a Haynes maintenance manual.

Altogether a sound and well-sorted car, taxed and MOT?d, that is just begging to be used and enjoyed.

    Guide price 14,750 - 16,750 N/S

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
