Really good series 1 Jaguar 'E' type fixed head coupes are extremely difficult to find and so we are rightly very pleased to be able to offer you this 1965 example today which is painted in Red and has the naturally complementary Black interior.
This is an original right hand drive car that was first supplied to Ireland and it was manufactured on 22nd February 1965. It comes with its Heritage certificate and it is in exceptional condition throughout. It has had much work done including a new bonnet and new rooflining, the engine and gearbox have been rebuilt and the panel fit of this car is as good as you will see anywhere - probably better than when it left the factory.
It can only be described as being in very good condition throughout and it has a current M.O.T. certificate until March next year and it has the exempt road fund licence until February 1998.
You'll be very hard pushed to find a better one anywhere.

    Reg Number: FNN641C

    Chassis Number: 1E20318

    - Original right-hand drive car displaying 89,558 miles

    - Restored in the 1990s, owned since 2004

    - Recently the bodywork and outside finish have been brought up to high standard

According to its accompanying Heritage certificate this original RHD car was despatched on March 12 1965 and supplied to Victor ltd, Belfast, Northern Ireland. At the time it was finished in opalescent dark green with suede green interior trim. In the 1990s, when the car was restored, this was changed to Carmine Red with black trim. The vendor acquired FNN 641C in 2004 and advises that bills and receipts total some £21,000. Very recently the bodywork and outside finish of the car have been brought up to high standard. The vender now classifies the bodywork and paintwork to be "excellent" and the interior trim, power plant and four speed manual gearbox as all being "good". Registering some 89,558 miles, we understand c.11,500 miles have been covered since 2004. A fine example, it is offered with Swansea V5, MoT to August 2015 and history file containing original brochures, spare parts catalogue, service handbook and tool kit.

Supercar Fest Sale of Iconic and Classic Cars

An instantly recognisable Series 1 Fixed Head Coupé finished in glorious Carmine Red.

Rolling off the production line on 12 March 1965, Jaguar E-Type ,Chassis no. 1E20318, was originally finished in Opalescent Dark Green with Suede Green trim and spent its early years in Northern Ireland before returning to England some years later. It was restored in the 1990s and refinished in the ever-popular shade of Carmine Red with a black interior, to a commendable level, with very little use since. Having formed part of a small private collection in recent years, the Jaguar has recently been professionally recommissioned and fully retrimmed by Aldridge Trimmers of Wolverhampton. Instantly recognisable, an E-Type never goes out of fashion and with coupés continuing to generate an increased following, what could be better than a Series I in what is arguably the most desirable colour combination?

    Lot 78

    1965 Jaguar E-Type 4.2 Coupe

    Estimated at £70,000 - £80,000

    Registration No: FNN 641C

    Chassis No: 1E20318

    MOT: Exempt

Just 1 of 1,583 RHD 4.2 Fixed Head Coupes

    New interior by Aldridge Trimming

Subject to c.£21,000 of expenditure between 2004 and 2015

According to its accompanying Heritage Certificate, this original right-hand drive, Chassis No: 1E20318 rolled off the production line on 12 March 1965 and was despatched on March 12, 1965, to the supplying dealer Victor Limited of Belfast, Northern Ireland. At that time the Series I offered here, was finished in Opalescent Dark Green with Suede Green interior trim. 'FNN 641C' continued to spend its early years in Northern Ireland before returning to England some years later. In the 1990s, when the car was restored, the car went through a colour change to the forever popular Jaguar colour of Carmen Red with Black trimmed interior, with sparing use on the road.

Between 2004 and 2015, the then custodian of 'FNN 641C', engaged in having work on the car to bring up to his standards, and that expenditure was c.£21,000. The bodywork and outside finish of the car was described as having been brought up to a high standard. Registering a credible mileage of 91,500 miles, more recently the 4.2 Coupe has formed part of a small private collection. The Jaguar has recently been professionally recommissioned and fully retrimmed by Aldridge Trimmers of Wolverhampton. Immediately recognisable to the gasps and finger pointing of 8 to 80 year olds, the E-Type is the epitome of a British classic sports car with a status as firm as the Union Flag. Coupés continue to generate an increasingly cherished following, especially if the E-Type in question is Carman Red with the Black interior, as desirable and in tune with its Series I image, as any Black Ford Model T or Red Ferrari. Presenting as a fine example of the marque, 'FNN641C' is offered with a presentation folder which includes a collection of invoices, old MOT certificates, Heritage document and V5C. Also included in the sale are original brochures, spare parts catalogue, service handbook and tool kit.
