US$ 80,000 - 120,000
€58,000 - 87,000
Chassis no. UE1S 25261

*Absolutely outstanding restoration
*Former JCNA National Champion
*Factory delivered manual transmission, LHD example
*The final evolution of the legendary Jaguar E-Type
*Offered with Heritage Trust Certificate

Built in March of 1974, the sensational example of Jaguar's legendary V12 E-Type offered here left the Browns Lane Jaguar works configured as a left hand drive car destined for the US. It was finished in white, fitted with a black soft top, and trimmed in a Russet colored interior. It was imported through British Leyland Motors, Inc. to the selling dealer, a Pontiac and Cadillac agency in Bristol, Connecticut, whom sold the car to a Mr. Peter Fazzone of Milldale, Connecticut.

Mr. Fazzone is believed to have kept the big cat through the early 1990s, at which point the aging Roadster was in need of a restoration. The extent of the ensuing restoration is absolutely impressive, the attention to detail becoming quite apparent upon close inspection. This exacting and extremely detailed job was rewarded with the E-Type being nominated the 1994 JCNA National Champion. Accompanied by a booklet with restoration photos, a top boot, an owners manual in pouch and spare wheel, this third series E-Type must be considered one of the best restored examples of the model anywhere, and deserves a close, scrutinizing inspection to truly appreciate the quality offered here.
Without reserve

Sellers description:
1974 JAGUAR E TYPE V12 SERIES III ROADSTER
--White with Red leather interior, Red carpeting and Black convertible top, 20,000 original miles from new, Fully Restored-Best of Show Winner, 4-speed manual transmission, Matching numbers, Wire wheels. VIN: UE1S25261
This is one of the last XKE V-12 Roadsters to come down the line prior to the end of production in 1974. Built in March of 1974, it was imported through British Leyland Motors for the Pontiac/Cadillac dealer in Bristol, Connecticut. In turn the E-type was sold to Mr. Peter Fazzone of Milldale, Connecticut. As per the original owner...
I purchased the car new and had it totally restored;
The car has 20,000 original miles and less than 100 miles since it has been restored;
Complete photo album of the car during the restoration;
Less than 100 miles since restoration;
Restored by Stew Jones, Winsted, Connecticut, world reknown for his work and specialization in the Series III E-type;
This V-12 E-type is the first ever to achieve 100 points at a Jaguar Club of North American national concours;
For several years thereafter it was transported in an enclosed trailer to various show where it won 1st place at every show it was entered in and on several occasions, Best of Show.
This E-type comes complete with all original factory books, tools, jack. As stated above it is also complete with photo documentation of this outstanding restoration. This V-12 Roadster has recently been completely serviced, it is thus ready for immediate road use and should not be considered only a "trailer queen." Without a doubt one of the best Series III E-type V-12 Roadsters in the world.

The 1994 JCNA National Champion
20,000 miles from new
The final year of the Jaguar E-Type

Built in March of 1974 and finished in Old English White over a Red interior, just as it is seen today, this particular E-Type was delivered to its first owner, Peter Fazzone of Milldale, Connecticut, shortly thereafter. Fazzone drove the car sparingly over the course of the following 30 years before deciding to have his beloved E-Type fully restored to its original glory during the early 1990s. The car was entrusted to Stew Jones of Winstead, Connecticut, who did an exceptional job in bringing the Jaguar to concours-quality condition. Following the restoration, it was noted as being the first V-12 E-Type to receive a score of 100 points at a JCNA National Concours. It received multiple first-place trophies in his ownership and was even dubbed the 1994 JCNA National Champion.

Even over 20 years after the completion of the restoration, the Jaguar still presents exceptionally well and is in immaculate condition. Generally trailered to concours events and said to have only accumulated 100 miles following its restoration, this E-Type has been recently treated to a full service and is said to be ready to take to the open road. It is accompanied by a complete photo album of the restoration process, showcasing the attention to detail and exquisite workmanship.

Not only does this E-Type boast wonderful provenance and the pedigree of being a national award winner, but it is also fully road-ready in every regard. Whether its next custodian should decide to drive the car or return it to JCNA events, it will surely not disappoint.

Car returns to the market 8/22

Seller's description:

1974 Jaguar E-Type SIII Roadster Manual

Price USD 130,200

• Old English White

• Chrome Wire Wheels

• Black Convertible Hood

Internal

• Seats, trim and carpets in Russet

• Original British Leyland Radio

This concours V12 E-type was used sparingly by its primary owner for more than 30 years. In 1994 Stew Jones (Series 111 restoration specialists) were asked to undertake the restoration of the car with the objective of building a near perfect V12 E-type.

The car was totally disassembled with over 1000 photos together with careful markings showing the exact position of panels, bolts, and washers.

Every panel was painstakingly reworked to the way the factory had intended, the monocoque was stripped and restored on a rotator. Every mechanical part was rebuilt or renewed.

In the pursuit of originality careful attention was given to the use of the correct bolt heads, hose clamps and wire ties. Unavailable stickers were researched and printed.

The result was that at the end of 1994 this wonderful Jaguar scored 99.96 points across 4 shows, winning the Class 7 National Championship in the USA.

In 1995 the car went onto score 100 points in three different shows, being the first ever Class 7 100 points concours winner.

The car has its Heritage Certificate and since being in the UK has been used very occasionally and in dry weather.

This magnificent V12 E-type could with minimal effort continue to compete at the highest level in shows. It would also be the perfect vehicle to tour Europe or journey to some fabulous events such as Le Mans Classics.

A note about Stew Jones mentioned above. Stew is blind yet an amazing mechanic and highly respected for the V12 cars in New England. Not so much the earlier E-Types. His shop is in Winstead, Connecticut.
