57,734 Original Miles, #'s Matching Car
A stunning and captivating 1974 Jaguar XKE Series III Roadster signal red with tan interior and soft top, wire wheels, 57,734 miles in excellent condition: a rebuilt 5.3 liter V-12 engine with 4 SU carburetors; a converted 5 speed manual transmission with a black leather gear shift knob; a sleek black Nordi wooden steering wheel; dual side mirrors; converted power windows; and a Clarion 12 CD player AM-FM radio stereo system.
These upgrades have stimulated the desirability, improved the drivability, and enhanced the looks of "the most beautiful car ever made".
Since its debut in 1961, the XKE open two-seater (roadster) has been an exciting and breath taking sports car without an equal.
1974 was the last year of the production of the XKE, the Series III V-12. It was
without a doubt the smoothest, silkiest, and most comfortable. And, a signal red and biscuit roadster was the "show stopper".
It looks good. It starts, sounds, runs, and drives beautifully. The shifting is tight and effortless; the suspension and handling make it a pleasure to drive. The car runs cool and operates as intended. The interior is in superb condition. The leather is soft and supple; and, the original rugs are still intact and clean. Nice door and kick panels, dash, fully functioning switches and gauges. All of the interior accessories and switches are in good working order, even the clock.
The exterior was repainted a few years ago, and looks nice and smooth with a good shine. The chrome still shows well as does the glass and trim.
This is an opportunity to buy a rust-free, car with matching numbers that is ready to enjoy immediately.

This 1974 Jaguar E-Type Series III roadster was refurbished at some point prior to the selling dealer’s 2024 acquisition and is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 backed by a retrofitted five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car is finished in red over tan leather and has a tan soft top and top boot. Work in preparation for the sale included cleaning the quadruple carburetors, replacing the spark plugs, converting the air conditioning to R-134a, and changing fluids. The car is equipped with four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, 15″ wire wheels, and a Pioneer head unit linked to a trunk-mounted amplifier. This Series III E-Type is now offered in California by the selling dealer with a clean Florida title.
The car was refinished in its current shade of red prior to the selling dealer’s acquisition and is equipped with a tan soft top and top boot, uncovered headlights, a forward-hinged louvered hood, and a power antenna. Lighting repairs were made in 2024.
The 15″ wire wheels are said to be replacements installed under prior ownership and are mounted with 215/70 Laufenn tires. The Series III E-Type was factory equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear rotors. A brake flush was performed in preparation for the sale.
The bucket seats are upholstered in tan leather and complemented by color-coordinated door panels. Work in July 2024 involved converting the air conditioning to use R-134a refrigerant. A Pioneer head unit is linked to an amplifier mounted in the trunk.
Instrumentation includes a Smiths 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as auxiliary readouts that are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 58k miles, a handful of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.3-liter V12 is equipped with four SU carburetors, which the selling dealer notes were cleaned in preparation for the sale. Additional service in preparation for the sale involved adjusting the belts and changing the engine oil, spark plugs, coolant, and battery.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission that was installed under prior ownership and a limited-slip differential.
The current Florida title lists the sequence UE1S24794BW as the VIN.
The Florida title is a duplicate.
