Sellers description:
1974 Jaguar E-Type
V-12 Convertible
Silver with Red Interior
S/N UE1S24329
Built in December of 1973, this car was sold new to an FBI Agent in Belleview, Washington. The current owner bought the car in 1982 from the original owner, making this a solid 2-owner car with known history, and 40,097 correct and original miles.
The current owner has done much work to keep the car in its current outstanding mechanical and cosmetic condition. In 1983, the interior was restored in the original delivery colors of red leather and carpets, with black dash covering and a black vinyl top. More recently, an extremely high quality repaint was performed in the car's original silver metallic.
400 miles ago, the engine was removed and ALL of the hoses and belts were replaced, even the extremely hard to access ones, which require engine removal. 200 miles ago, the A/C was recharged with original Freon material, a new stainless exhaust system, new tires were fitted, and a new brake booster installed. The car is straight throughout, with zero rust or accidents. Included in the sale are both the original manuals and tools. All the components are fully operational and ready for weekend or everyday use.
The car is located in our showroom in the San Francisco Bay Area. We would be happy to pick up perspective buyers from the Oakland Airport to show the car. We have a hoist to assist in viewing the underside of the car, and test drives are possible. Fantasy Junction is open Monday through Saturday, 9:30 am to 5:30 pm.
The car is offered at $52,500 and is for sale outside of eBay. We reserve the right to end the auction early. Included in the photographs is the Cars of Particular Interest value guide showing a value of $57,800 for a Series III E-Type Convertible in excellent condition.
