    Ebay item 9/11/08

Current bid $17,877 reserve not met, 5 bids, 9 days left in auction.

    Sellers description:
This amazing car has had only one owner. It was sold new right here in Portland, Oregon by British Motor Car Distributors. The original sales documents along with the original handbook are included. The car was purchased last month from the estate of the original owner and removed from the only garage this car has ever known. Due to the owner's declining health, the car sat, unused, for the past twelve years. Recommissioning for use required the removal and cleaning of the fuel tank and a thorough cleaning of the fuel system and carburators. All fluids were replaced, the brake master cylinder was replaced, the alternator was replaced, a complete tune up was performed, all new tires and tubes were installed, a new battery was installed and finally a new stainless resonator and stainless exhaust pipes were fitted. The car now runs beautifully, holds 40 pounds of oil pressure when warm, and is a true joy to drive. The paint is original as is the chrome trim, the leather upholstery and the carpets. The original convertible top is like new due to the factory hardtop having been used exclusively. The very rare leather color is "French Blue" and was an option in 1974. All instruments, lights, switches and accessories work properly, including the clock which keeps accurate time! The sealed beam headlights are the original Lucas units. Because the car has always been kept in a warm garage, there is no rust anywhere, and the normal interior sun damage is non-existant. The odometer reading is 53,688 and is correct. With very little effort, this car could be a contender in a "preservation class" at any serious concours event. It is available for showing in Portland, Oregon
