This 1974 Jaguar E-Type Series III roadster was partially refurbished under previous ownership and is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car was acquired by the seller in 2023 and was subsequently refinished in red. Features include a Biscuit leather interior, a replacement tan soft top, a top boot, four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, 15” knock-off wire wheels, quadruple carburetors, a CD stereo, and a heater. This Series III E-Type is now offered with the owner’s manual, spare parts, and a bonded Wisconsin title in the name of the seller’s trust.
The car is refinished in Signal Red and features a replacement tan soft top, a matching top boot, uncovered headlights, a forward-hinged louvered hood, US-spec bumpers, and a power antenna. The seller notes that the top boot does not snap to the rear of the car.
The 15″ wire-spoke wheels are secured with knock-off spinners and are mounted with Michelin Harmony tires measuring 205/70. The Series III E-Type was factory equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear rotors.
The cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in Biscuit leather as well as color-coordinated door panels. Interior amenities include a Blaupunkt CD stereo, a locking glovebox, and a heater.
The steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. An analog clock along with auxiliary gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 63k miles, approximately 10 of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.3-liter V12 was factory equipped with quadruple Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and was rated at 241 horsepower and 285 lb-ft of torque when new.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
There is a bond on the Wisconsin title, which was issued n February 2024.
