Sellers description:
"NO RESERVE" auction: 1973 Jaguar E-Type 2+2 V12 coupe with manual 4-speed transmission. This is a complete numbers matching car with 53k original miles and we have the Jaguar Heritage certificate documenting the serial numbers. The car has been professionally refinished in its original color. The previous owner stored this car for many years in a climate controlled warehouse. There has been alot of work done to this car mechanically. Carbs were rebuilt, ignition wires and plugs were replaced along with the dist. cap and rotor. The brake master cylinder, clutch master cylinder, and the clutch slave cylinder were also replaced. At this time, all the fluids were flushed and filters changed. The tires are brand new, along with the front shocks. I have new rear shocks, they just need to be installed, they come with the car. The engine runs great and has plenty of power. The carbs are not 100% perfect, but it still runs very well. The transmission shifts good, although 4th gear syncro grinds a little bit when shifting fast. This is a fun car to drive, and always the topic of conversation. The air conditioning blows cold and the gauges and lights are in working order, however the radio does not work. The exterior is very straight, and the paint job is outstanding! The undercarriage is solid and corrosion free. Most of the chrome is original showing minor signs of age, but still looks good. All of the rubber seals are new. The interior was recently refurbished, and is in outstanding condition. Overall, I think this E-type is in great condition with low original miles. We have some documentation going back to the 80's documenting the mileage. The car was stored most of that time and not driven much by the previous owner. As with any car from this era there are a few minor oil seeps, but nothing major.
