Ebay item 3/7/17
www.ebay.com/itm/1973-Jaguar-E-Type-Series-III-V-12-/192122474315
Opening bid US $32,500, no reserve, no bids 6 days left in auction, seller hilltop6955, 65k miles.

Sellers description:
Hilltop Auto stock # 231 is a very original matching numbers, V-12, 2+2 E-type. Most of the Series III, 2+2's came through with an automatic transmission, but this car came through with the desirable 4 speed manual gearbox. This is a one owner E-type, which has never been painted nor touched up. Having been well cared for it still even has the original interior. The car runs and drives smoothly and the gearbox shifts smoothly as it should. The owner had installed new tires and wheels on the car this past February, leaving it's new owner no worries in that department. There is a slight bump on the driver's side front side of the bonnet. The gentleman who owned the car was getting on in years and having this little fender bender convinced him it was time to give up the car. You are getting a lot of car for the money with the E-type. The only thing we see missing on the car is the rear hatch window chrome, a spare wheel and the shroud that fits over the radiator.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
