Ebay item 6/13/13
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Opening bid $23,000 reserve not met, no bids 3 days left in auction. 30k miles.

Sellers description:
Original 1973 E-Type Jaguar is in excellent condition both cosmetically and mechanically. I am listing this for the owner who is the 4th owner since the car came off the production line on February 27, 1973 and has considered this vehicle a member of his family for the last 13 years. Included is a Jaguar Heritage Certificate which authenticates the originality of this vehicle, date of manufacture, matching numbers, etc.

This car has the following factory options: Tinted glass, automatic transmission, air conditioning, chrome wheels, solid state radio and white wall tires. It was originally delivered to its first owner in California. Recent updates include: replaced rack and pinion, replaced alternator, replaced front and rear seals. all done with original factory replacement parts. In addition the transmission has been fully serviced. Tires are approximately 3 years old with 3000 miles on them and the battery is also about 3 years old. The only item needing attention at this time is the solid state radio, which only recently stopped working.

This vehicle is exceptionally clean, in excellent condition and ready for this summers driving season. Located in the upstate of South Carolina.

Car returns to ebay 10/20/17
www.ebay.com/itm/1973-Jaguar-E-Type-/253216868335
Current bid US $15,000 reserve not met 1 bid 9 days left in auction buy it now price $48,000, seller wsaudio, car now said to be in Coquitlam, British Columbia, 31k miles.

Sellers description:
Jaguar E Type V12 series 3 year 1973. I purchased the car in 2013. I'm selling due to 3 major operations so the car has been in storage since 2015. The car has just had an oil & filter change, fuel lines flushed and fuel filters changed. Due to the car standing we recommend the brakes to be serviced and fluids flushed. The mileage is at 31,388 original miles from new. The paint is Green sand which is a rare color with cinnamon leather interior. The interior is 100% original with no changes since new and great condition. The exterior is very presentable with straight lines and straight body panels, there are a couple of small dents. The car could easily be made into a show condition as it has been sat some time. The radio has been removed (will be included in the sale as i never installed it when i purchased the car), there are many documents plus service manuals, as well as trophies from competitions won. The numbers on the cars certificate match the car from its original purchase date. As stated again the reason for selling is due to health otherwise i would be keeping this car. This timeless piece of art needs a new home that will be loved.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
