Sellers description:
1973 Jaguar Etype Coupe, just out of long term storage, The car was last registered and on the road in 1984..The car was belong to an elderly gentleman who recently passed away ..The car was kept indoors during the whole period.
The car is completely original and complete, after we got the car we got it up and running with very little effort, it will however need to be gone through before it can be used on the road... It has the original ignition system mounted on top of the engine, this was a notorious problem for the V12 and it will need to be replaced, also the carbs will need to be rebuilt, brakes will need to be gone through
The body is very solid but has some rust here and there, the extent can be seen in the pictures....drivers floor is perfect, the passenger side has a hole about 2 inces square down by the foot well. Boot floor is excellent.... car looks quite good underneath
Interior is complete, drivers seat is damaged at the base but all the other seats are fine
The car can be inspected in Portsmouth New Hampshire

Lot #218541
This 1973 Jaguar E-Type Series III 2+2 is a non-running project that has been off the road for approximately five years. The 5.3-liter V12 turns over but does not start or run, and the three-speed automatic transmission does not arrest the car when “park” is selected. Wearing a worn repaint in Maroon, the car is also equipped with 15″ wire-spoke wheels, knock-off hubs, power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, and an aftermarket radio and steering wheel. This Series III E-Type project is now offered by the selling dealer at no reserve in Texas with a clean California title.
Finished in Maroon, the car was repainted years ago under prior ownership. The weather seals are worn out, and signs of corrosion are visible.
The 15″ wire-spoke wheels are secured with knock-off spinners. The Series III E-Type was factory equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear rotors.
The carpeting and headliner have been removed, and corrosion is noted in the floorboards. There is an aftermarket radio.
The car retains its Smiths instrumentation aside from the clock, and an aftermarket steering wheel has been installed. The five-digit odometer shows 59k miles.
The 5.3-liter V12 turns over but does not start, per the selling dealer, who notes that the car was last in running and driving condition circa 2020. The engine has a quartet of Zenith-Stromberg carburetors.
The three-speed automatic transmission does not hold the car in position when “park” is selected. The car is equipped with a limited-slip differential.
The number plate shows a corresponding engine stamp.
