1973 JAGUAR XKE ROADSTER

ONLY 40,000 ORIGINAL MILES!!

Finished in most desired and classic Regency Red with beautifully kept light tan leather interior and black convertible top. This incredible motorcar comes well equipped with real chrome wire wheels, 4-speed transmission, and so much more! This collector quality XKE is one of the finest examples we have had the pleasure of offering in many years! Seldom do you come across one in this superior condition, and low miles! For the true investor, this is the quality car you have been looking for! I have bought and sold many XKE's in the last 25 years and I know this model well. This is an exceptional example and I personally believe the investment potential should prove to be tremendous! In 1989, these cars, almost over night, shot up to over $80,000! When the recession of '91 came, the prices dropped down, as well as all other classic cars. I truly believe the market is in position to increase substantially for this model. According to the Museum of Modern Arts, the Jaguar Convertible is one of the finest designed sports cars of all times.

No bids. No surprise, starting bid was $44,900.

Condition looked good, but interior older (foam in head rests depleted) and engine compartment frame rails badly scratched. Nice driver, not concours.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
