Appropriately Preserved - An Outstanding Driving E-Type

Finished in elegant White over complimenting Tan leather upholstery, this open-headlight, Series III Roadster is among the last examples of this famous British model produced and often considered best driving and the most refined of the series. This stunningly preserved example shows just 37,000 miles, which are believed to be original. The Roadster's overall finish displays exceptionally well as a very presentable driver, upon which every reasonable effort was put forth to preserve its charm.

The cabin's seating and carpeting were restored in recent years and present as new. The exterior's paintwork and chrome is bright and clear - showing only a few minor blemishes from use. The factory original air conditioning system blows ice cold. Complementing the factory correctness is a British Leyland radio, and period AMCO rubber mats with original dash and doors. All identification stickers remain adhered to the car's body and importantly all body spot welds are visible, attesting to the car's solid and honest body. Additionally the underside remains very original and intact still displaying its original factory undercoat.

A number of recent service records/invoices accompany, along with the Operating, maintenance and Service handbook with respective charts and additional Jaguar literature. Besides its good looks, the E-Type runs incredibly smooth and is an absolute joy to drive - Among the best SIII's we have ever offered and fitted with the more desirable manual transmission. All electrical components, gauges, switches, lights, radio, wiper, horn, are in proper working order as well. Here is the ideal choice for those seeking a striking classic roadster with modern drivability and comforts. $76,500.00

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
