I bought this beautiful XKE in los Angeles
in Feb 05. and shipped it to Vancouver BritishColumbia. The car is in excellent condition and I am hoping to make it into a concourse car. I love it. If anyone has more info. Please let me know.
I believe it spent some time in La jolla California

Sellers description:
I have owned my E Type for just under 10 years.
It is very, very reliable. Starts first time and drives beautifully.
I bought the car in California.
The E TYPE has absolutely NO RUST at all.
The paint is immaculate.
This actual car was featured in a book "Illustrated Car Color History" Jaguar E TYPE
It was a CONCOURSE WINNER and still looks concourse.
It shows that the car was owned by John Philips.
I am still trying to confirm but I think it is "The John Phillips" (The Mama`s and the Papa`s)
If you are looking for that perfect E TYPE that will only Appreciate in value, this is it. I have loved and treasured the car for many years.
I am a member of the Jaguar Club of North America and the Canadian XK Jaguar Register Canada.
I would be willing to drive the E Type across the border to Blaine, near Seattle in the USA for pick-up if necessary.
I have an Appraisal for a "guaranteed" replacement insurance value for the E Type.
The replacement payout is $90,000.00 inc. taxes

No rust, grot or grime. No perceptible dents, dings, pits, scrapes or scratches.

"The V12 Jaguar is truly stunning. The overall presentation is that of a quality restored show car. The car runs cool and is a joy to drive. The vehicle's brilliant red paint scheme coupled with the black leather upholstery is a wonderful choice of a factory color for this automobile.
· The paint and body work are combinations of number one and two conditions (show car condition)
· The engine compartment is well detailed and shows no signs of deterioration in any area
· The bright work is also outstanding
· The upholstery is also outstanding and displays itself in leather
· The chassis has been detailed and appears to have been completely restored to original factory specifications
· The wire wheels are in excellent condition. They are true factory style knockoff (hub) wheels.
· The car comes complete with a set of Jaguar tools.
The vehicle has been completely restored in every area and is a solid overall number two condition vehicle. Coupled with 12 cylinders and being a roadster, and painted red, is a good as it gets for this year and series of vehicle."

1 - Body - the fit is very good
1 - Convertible top
1 - Tires 205/70/R15 Michelin - matched and appear as new

"OVERALL CONDITION: A VERY STRONG NUMBER TWO CONDITION SHOW CAR. THIS CAR WOULD BE IN CONTENTION AS A CLASS WINNER IN MOST SHOWS IT WAS DISPLAYED IN."
This car has been driven only 1,560 miles since this independent appraisal. Mileage now only 68,315. It's in even better condition than when the appraisal was done.

The more I follow "bring a trailer" the more I dislike the censorship and manipulation that occurs. No feedom of speech there by any means.....and plenty of sales that don't go thru. We only hear about the ones that are relisted.......

So several attempts on eBay- no sale
Other sites - no sale
Appraised @ $90,000- must be Haggerty agreed value, as British Columbia government insurance does not offer "Replacement Insurance"
No comparables given in the appraisal.
No mention of any rust repair, during 'restoration'
I gather the owner bought the car 'restored'
Overall looks like a nice car. Market value - not sure.

This 1973 Jaguar XKE Series III Roadster is finished in red over black leather and powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a black fabric top, 15″ chrome wire wheels, and a newer stereo with an auxiliary input. It was reportedly sold new in California and is said to have been refurbished in the 1990s, and since acquiring the car after it was listed on BaT in 2017 the seller has replaced several ignition components and changed the oil. This XKE roadster is now offered in California with a soft top boot, recent service records, a tool kit, shop manuals, and a clean Montana title in the name of the seller’s LLC.
The exterior is finished in red and features quad exhaust outlets, an aftermarket power antenna, and chrome bumpers. The seller states that a refurbishment was performed in the 1990s, and the notes cracks and chips in the paint. The black soft top is shown mounted on the car in the image gallery below, and a black vinyl boot covers the soft top when stowed.
Chrome-finished 15″ knock-off wire wheels are wrapped with Michelin tires. The car is equipped with power-assisted steering and four-wheel disc brakes.
The interior features seats trimmed in black leather with matching carpets. Appointments include a three-spoke steering wheel, hand-crank windows, inertia-reel seat belts, and a retro-look stereo with an auxiliary input. The air-conditioning system is said to have been overhauled in 2016, but currently does not blow cold.
Smiths instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage. The five-digit odometer shows just over 69k miles, approximately 1k of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The numbers-matching 5.3-liter V12 is equipped with four Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and sends power to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The seller has replaced the ignition coil, distributor cap, wiring harness, ignition module, and spark plugs, while an oil change and fluid check were performed in summer 2020. Engine stamping 7S11348LB matches the engine number listed on the underhood identification plate.
