Seen on eBay, Jabuary 2003. Ad reads:

This is a rust free car with matching engine nos. The engine has been completely rebuilt with original Jaguar parts and specifications about 1050 miles ago by Stu Jones Restorations of Winsted, Ct. Along with the restoration of the engine, I had installed: new motor mounts, heavy duty clutch, Getag 5 speed transmission, aluminum radiator, new hoses, six Weber 40-DIF carburators, plus a new ignition system. The tires are practically brand new and mounted on spoke wheels. The A/C blows cold air, and the heater core has been flushed and works fine. I had installed a Borla Stainless Steel exhaust system, Robey Stainless Steel tuned Headers (Jet Coated), new engine harness, and fan over-ride switch, plus a high torque geared starter. The front end bushings and all shock obsorbers were installed 3 years ago. The only thing that does not work is the clock. I have replaced the rugs with Bartlett Wilton Rugs, installed new diaphrams in the seats, new Moto steering wheel, and new convertible top with cover. Recently I have installed Xenon headlamps. This 1973 Jaguar XKE is in very good condition, and it is very reliable and very fast. The engine runs cool, and trouble free. This is not a trailer queen, but a car that wants to be driven. You can drive it cross town or cross country.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
