ONE OWNER FROM NEW
1973 JAGUAR E-TYPE V12 SERIES III ROADSTER WITH HARDTOP
Blue with beige leather interior
Engine: V12, 5,343cc., 241bhp at 4,750rpm; Gearbox: automatic transmission; Suspension: independent front and rear; Brakes: hydraulic disc. Left hand drive.
This 1973 E-Type has had just one family owner from new and recently had a recorded mileage of 51,175. The Jaguar has always resided in either the Pacific Heights district of San Francisco or the family home at Pebble Beach. Clearly this highly original vehicle has been well maintained throughout its life. The interior has original beige leather upholstery which has a nice patina of age, the majority of wear being restricted to the drivers seat; the carpets also appear original. The trunk is nice and clean and has the correct spare wheel, jack and hammer; the engine bay is also extremely presentable. The paintwork does show a few minor nicks and blemishes on close inspection and there is some checking in the paintwork, notably on the middle section of the bonnet. There is a small dent in the chrome nose surround grill. This roadster with hardtop comes equipped with a black soft top and is fitted with air conditioning. On a recent short test drive the car performed beautifully and recorded excellent oil pressure. This one owner from new Jaguar has just recently been donated to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and Christie's is delighted to be offering this desirable vehicle on their behalf.
