This 1974 Jaguar E-Type Series III roadster is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 linked with a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car is finished in red over tan leather, and features include a tan soft top, four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, 15” knock-off wire wheels, quadruple SU carburetors, an aluminum radiator, auxiliary electric cooling fans, MSD ignition components, an oil cooler, and air conditioning. The current owner purchased the car in 2010, and the cooling system and the air conditioning were serviced in early 2025. This E-Type is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with service records, spare parts, and a Georgia title in the owner’s name.
The car has been repainted in Regency Red, according to the seller. The tan soft top has been replaced, and a tear in the top was repaired in late 2025. Features include uncovered headlights, a forward-hinged louvered hood, dual side mirrors, bright trim, quadruple exhaust outlets, and chrome bumpers with overriders. A matching tonneau cover and top boot will accompany the vehicle along with a spare convertible-top frame and other parts.
Chrome-finished 15″ wire-spoke wheels are secured with knock-off spinners and are mounted with Firestone FR710 whitewall tires measuring 205/70. The Series III E-Type was factory equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear rotors. The brake master cylinder was replaced in 2020, and other brake parts were replaced in 2021.
The cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in tan leather as well as color-coordinated door panels and a center armrest. Interior amenities include air conditioning, a passenger-side grab handle, a locking glovebox, beige carpeting, and floor mats. The A/C was recharged and a fuse for its compressor was replaced in February 2025. The seller notes that the dashboard is warped near its plastic vent covers, the driver seatback is torn, and the Sony CD stereo is inoperable.
The worn steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. An analog clock along with auxiliary gauges for battery voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level are stationed in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 74k miles, approximately 5k of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.3-liter V12 is equipped with quadruple SU carburetors, K&N air filters, MSD ignition components, an aluminum radiator, auxiliary electric cooling fans, an oil cooler, and a spin-on oil-filter conversion. A radiator hose and the heater-control valve were replaced in February 2025. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The transmission-pan gasket was replaced in early 2023.
The Georgia title lists the car’s type of body as “coupe”.
