Seen on eBay, 5/2003. Ad reads:

"This is a vintage 1972 Jaguar V12 2+2 CPE XKE. It is in great running condition. The car has new tan leather interior, 6 new shocks (4 in back, 2 in front), new fuel pump (solid state, no points) and a new battery. The car has 4 carburetors that are in great working condition. This 12-cylinder car is very fast and has a lot of torque. I have plenty of pictures available, so e-mail me and I will send them to you. The car was originally registered to Dean Martin. I have a temporary receipt with Dean Martin’s signature. The car was bought new in Beverly Hills CA at Charles H Horwburg Jr Motor Cars. I have a copy of the window sticker with all the extras listed on it.

    Sellers description:
It's not often that a celebrity vehicle comes on the scene. Especially from a legend like Dean Martin! Purchased new at Hornburg Jaguar in Los Angeles, this 1972 Jaguar XKE came equipped with these special-order wheels, air conditioning and more! Odometer shows 48K, we believe it to be original but cannot be sure. Spent most of its life in Las Vegas in a steel container full of other collectible objects and getting overheated to the point that the entire interior needed to be replaced. Unfortunately it was replaced with vinyl not leather. The good news is that it is 100% rust free. For a short time before being put in a container it was owned by a car lot that is now out of business. The next ten years plus it was owned by a couple in Las Vegas and garaged. They added 6 new shocks and some of the interior was re-done; needs new carpet, the sun visors are back in car (not installed during photos). There is a new after-market console with the original ash tray and lighter. At the time the console was ordered there was not a replacement piece for the radio area. All the gauges work except the clock. Was told by previous owner he thought if the AC system was re-charged it should work. It does seem to blow cold when first turned on. The power steering leaked and was not refilled by the previous owner because he did not like the way it handled with power steering "too easy". I have never filled it as it does seem to handle quite nicely without it. Has 275 miles on newly rebuilt automatic transmission by Aamco of Petaluma CA. Guaranteed for 12,000 miles or one year. The electric switch for the fans on the radiator needs to be replaced. Just repainted the original British Racing Green, Dean's XKE is ready to enjoy now!
