This Jaguar E-Type Series 2 4.2 2+2 FHC is a stylish and iconic classic British grand tourer, presented here in a lesser-seen colour scheme.
Under the bonnet sits a naturally aspirated 4.2-litre straight-six, which sends its power to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.
This example is understood to have originally been a US-delivered model, which is now located in Italy, where it has been with the seller for five years.
The odometer indicates 5,808 miles, though this is not warranted.
EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES
This E-Type Series 2 4.2 2+2 FHC is finished in a subtle period shade of brown, over a beige leather-trimmed interior, featuring a contrasting black dashboard and chrome trim highlights.
It rides on a set of 15-inch chrome cross-spoke wire wheels fitted with Vredestein Sprint Classic tyres.
Equipment includes Smiths gauges, heater and ventilation controls, dashboard rocker switches, a wooden gear knob, and push-out rear quarter light windows.
This example has been fitted with Pioneer speakers, an aftermarket air conditioning system, a wood-rimmed Nardi steering wheel, and a retro-style stereo with Bluetooth connectivity.
The car comes with the registration document, a technical specification document from Jaguar Land Rover Italy, an ASI Certificate of Historical Relevance, and some inspection reports.
One ignition key is included.
CONDITION
Specific notes from the seller include: the car is understood to have been previously repainted.
The most recent roadworthiness test was conducted on 12 September 2024, which is reported to have resulted in a clean pass.
