This 1969 Jaguar XKE is a Series II 2+2 example that is finished in silver over black leather and powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes knock-off wire wheels, chrome bumpers, dual exhaust outlets, pop-out rear quarter windows, dual Stromberg carburetors, exposed headlights, four-wheel disc brakes, and a wood-rim steering wheel. The car was acquired by the current owner in 2013, reportedly from the original owner. This XKE is now offered on dealer consignment with service records, literature, a knock-off hammer, a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, and a clean Oregon title.
15” wire wheels are secured with safety nuts and are wrapped in 195/70 Cooper Lifeliner Classic II tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with inboard rear units.
The four-place cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black leather along with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a push-button radio, lap belts, and rocker switches for vehicle functions. Wear is noted on the switches.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a Smiths 160-mph speedometer and tachometer. The center of the dashboard houses Smiths coolant temperature, oil pressure, a clock, and fuel level gauges as well as a voltmeter. The five-digit odometer shows 91k miles, 15k of which were added under current ownership.
The 4.2-liter DOHC inline-six features twin Stromberg carburetors and was factory rated at 246 horsepower. In July 2019, The Jag Shop of Portland, Oregon replaced the valve cover gasket and fluids.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate shows the original colors as well as the build and dispatch dates.
