Ebay item 3/24/14 www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XK-Base-Coupe-2-Door-1969-Jaguar-XKE-Coupe-2-Door-2-plus ...
Current bid $6,100 reserve not met, 11 bids 1 day left in auction. 57k miles.
Sellers description:
This auction is for a very original 1969 Jaguar XKE II - 2 Door Coupe 2 plus 2. I bought the car last year to restore but financially I'm unable to now and must sell her off to a good home.
The car was covered with a tarp and left for over 20 years. 58k Mileage is supposedly original, although impossible to verify. Unfortunately the paint is shot, but the interior is in good shape except for Driver's seat thanks to being out of direct sunlight so long. My plan was to remove the chrome and have it re-chromed along with the wheels. Then I'd get
the body soda blasted. Then, move on with the body work, and finally get it to paint.
If you have access to, or can do the mechanical or body work and paint yourself, there is a good profit potential available here.
The engine runs and sounds great. The car was driven to storage. Mechanically it is going to need a clutch master cylinder as clutch was real "squishy" driving it. It has lost the left muffler and sounds loud and will need a
new exhaust. I've been quoted the parts/labor to be about $4,200 for both depending on the exhaust that's chosen. I will include the complete "rubber/seal" kit I purchased as well.
